A wonderful stay at B&B HM5 in Ommen!
B&B HM5 has two comfortable rooms on the first floor, each with its own bathroom with sink, toilet and (rain) shower. The rooms have generous box-spring beds (90x200) and a sitting area. The rooms open onto a shared space, where information material and games are available. In the morning a healthy breakfast is prepared for you in this room. We have taken measures for a hospitable and safe stay!

Welcome! HM5 stands for Hessel Mulerstraat 5. Hessel Mulert was a nobleman who took the initiative in 1492 to build a bridge over the Overijsselse Vecht to offer farmers, citizens and country people a crossing without wet feet. Until then, there was no bridge in Ommen and the crossing to the other side of the river had to be made by ferries or barges. The current bridge over the Vecht, the Hessel Mulertbrug, dates from 1970. Besides B&B HM5 I have my own glass workshop at home (Atelier Colorful www.ateliercolorrijkommen.nl). If interested, I would like to show some of my work (glass fusing). A small number of paintings, often by local artists, hang in changing exhibitions in the entrance hall. read more..
